OCCSI (Improving Organized Colorectal Cancer Screening: An Implementation Science Study)

Brief project description

OCCSI focuses on the implementation of organized colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programs in Switzerland.

Funded through Swiss cancer research, researchers at the Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care at the University of Zurich, together with colleagues from the University of Bern and Unisanté, work to explore the determinants perceived and strategies used in implementing such programs in the different cantons in Switzerland. OCCSI is based on a mixed methods multiple case study design and a systematic review of the literature.

The project aims to understand current and support future implementation of Swiss CRC screening programs, thereby improving early detection of CRC and reducing CRC-related mortality.
